Cave de France's note: Talking about Fié gris leads me to tell you how I discovered this rare grape variety... I was visiting the winemaker and friend Dominique Norguet, at ''the intelligent hour'' (aperitif time), to bring back some stock for the shop, when the winemaker offered me a rather chilled glass of this strange nectar, just to go with a piece of hard cheese. I was indeed in a hurry, but I couldn't refuse the invitation (if only out of professional conscience...) I was captivated by the elegance, finesse, roundness and indefinable color of this wine. The Fié gris Cuvée Adèle thus naturally joined our selection. Discover this rare grape variety for yourself, at the intelligent hour of course ;-)
The winemaker's note: Alternately pink or grey, this rare variety of Sauvignon is known as Fié gris. Finer, richer and more complex with aromas of citrus and flint. Original as an aperitif, it will ideally accompany white fish and even foie gras.
