A word from Cave de France: Wolfie's Blended Scotch is a Scotch whisky created by legendary singer-songwriter Sir Rod Stewart, in collaboration with Duncan Frew and the Loch Lomond distillery. Together, they designed a whisky that reflects the spirit and energy of Stewart's prolific career, while honoring the centuries-old traditions of Scotch whisky production.
Wolfie's Blended Scotch is the result of a subtle blend of single malt and wheat grain whisky, distilled separately before being skillfully combined.
The process begins with a double distillation of the single malt in large copper pot stills, a key element in refining the aromas and capturing the essence of the ingredients.
This single malt is then aged in freshly charred bourbon casks, which gives it deep notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted wood.
In parallel, grain whiskies are distilled in continuous column stills, a process that results in a smoother and lighter distillation. This contrast between the rich and expressive character of the single malt and the finesse of the grain whisky creates a complex and balanced harmony in the final product.
The result is a whisky with a depth of flavors, where aromas of ripe fruit, caramel, and oak mingle, enhanced by a subtle touch of vanilla.
