Founded in 1921 by Gaston Dorléans, Domaine Bourillon Dorléans spans 26 hectares of vines, nestled on the most beautiful hillsides of Rochecorbon. For three generations, family members have passionately upheld the traditional spirit and excellence of Vouvray wines, each with a unique and assertive personality.
For over 25 years, the entire team has practiced sustainable viticulture. This sustainable approach prioritizes the minimal use of treatments, only when indispensable, such as at the onset of disease or adverse weather events. Furthermore, only BioControl certified products are used. For example, in 2022, only five treatments were necessary across the entire vineyard.
Sustainable agriculture also implies a deep respect for the soil, avoiding saturation to fully leverage natural biodiversity. Practices include using a weeding machine, allowing the vine to draw the best elements from the terroir, and crushing vine shoots to serve as natural fertilizer. These methods are scrupulously adhered to by the estate every year.
