Vin de Tahiti - Rosé 75cl French Polynesia Domaine Dominique Auroy 93% Red Carignan, Italia, Grenache
A note from Cave de France: This Polynesian rosé is a discovery as pleasant as it is perplexing. A wine with a pronounced color but a fine and light palate. Notes of small red berries mingle with exotic accents that are difficult to define. There is a certain "je ne sais quoi" of the sea that resembles nothing we know; like the savory bouquet of a seafood platter where crab and prawns would predominate. The winemaker mentions notes of coral, but one would have to be lucky enough to live on the Rangiroa atoll to be familiar with it! One must discover this wine with the spirit of Robinson (or the Bounty mutineers), that is, with curiosity and openness. Without losing sight of the fact that this is an exceptional work, deserving of all praise. Growing vines on coral soil, harvesting and vinifying in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! Hats off to the artists!
A note from the Domaine: The Nacarat rosé is a delightful wine that reveals notes of red fruits and citrus, enhanced by a minerality that gives it complexity and freshness. The wine has a very light Nacarat color. The pressing of the grapes was very delicate. The nose offers red fruits and citrus with a beautiful complexity. The minerality is barely distinguishable but definitely present. On the palate, the attack is frank with a gourmet acidity that gives the wine a magnificent balance. Slightly structured, it retains fruit notes with a minerality that expresses itself at the very end of the palate.
