A word from Maison Veuve Clicquot: In 1818, Madame Clicquot developed the very first known blended rosé champagne, whose vivacity and explosive fruit aromas still captivate connoisseurs' palates today.

The blending alone allows for the creation of this champagne with its coppery color and explosive red fruit aromas. It is a crucial step and a purely creative act. The Cellar Master and his team of experts select premium red wines and still wines from the most prized Champagne vineyards to obtain the aromas and character that perfectly reflect the style of Veuve Clicquot Rosé champagne.

Made from 50 to 60 different crus, and 30 to 45% reserve wines, this cuvée is derived from the traditional blend of Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune champagne; the predominance of Pinot Noir (50-55%) gives it the emblematic structure of Veuve Clicquot champagnes, while Chardonnay (28-33%) brings the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine.
A small percentage of Meunier (15-20%) completes the blend. The 12% of still red wine also included in this blend affirms its fruity character. A long aging period in our chalk cellars (minimum 3 years for Veuve Clicquot Rosé champagne) gives this champagne all its silkiness.
