Tomatin Distillery

A word from Cave de France: Non-peated Highland single malt Scotch whisky, produced by the Tomatin distillery and often considered an accessible expression representative of the style of this fine Scottish distillery.
It is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and virgin oak casks, which gives it a delicate sweetness with dominant aromas of vanilla, white chocolate and cinnamon, accompanied by livelier fruity notes such as lemon or pineapple, and a touch of spices such as ginger on the palate.
The palate is generally smooth, slightly fruity and balanced, with a clean and refreshing finish, making it an easy whisky to enjoy neat, on the rocks or even in certain light cocktails.
This single malt, bottled at 43% alcohol, pays homage to the history and lasting link between the distillery and the local community, celebrating this social heritage as much as Tomatin's expertise.

The Tomatin distillery, founded in 1897 in a village of the same name south of Inverness, is one of Scotland's largest in terms of production capacity. It is located in the Highlands, in the heart of the Monadhliath Mountains, and its pure local spring water is central to its manufacturing process. Historically very involved in the development of its community, Tomatin has experienced ups and downs, moving from periods of high production to restructurings, before being taken over by the Japanese group Takara Shuzo, which helped it develop its reputation as a producer of refined single malts. Today, although the majority of its production is still used in blends, Tomatin is increasingly focusing on its own single whiskies, with a varied range from young and accessible expressions to older and more refined single malts, while remaining true to a malty, smooth and balanced style typical of the Highlands.
