A word from Cave de France: An iconic Australian red wine from the McLaren Vale wine region in South Australia, made from 100% Shiraz (Syrah). It is characterized by a deep purple color and a rich aromatic profile dominated by ripe dark fruits like plum, blackberry, and cherry, often enhanced by spices, black pepper, licorice, or mocha, with a dense texture and well-present tannins that give it structure and length on the palate. This dry and generous wine, usually from old vines, offers a balance between fruity intensity and spicy complexity, making it very enjoyable with grilled or stewed red meats, spicy dishes, or aged cheeses, and gives it good aging potential for several years.

d'Arenberg Estate is a family-owned winery founded in 1912 in the McLaren Vale by Joseph Osborn, who named the estate after selling his racehorse Footbolt to buy the land. Still managed today by the fourth generation of the Osborn family, with Chester Osborn as winemaker and oenologist, the estate is renowned for producing a wide range of expressive wines, often with original names, combining traditional methods like foot treading and small-batch winemaking with a creative and distinctive vision. d'Arenberg is among Australia's most respected producers, with a strong regional identity and a multigenerational history deeply rooted in the McLaren Vale terroir.
