A word from Maison Taittinger: A blend of about thirty different crus from several harvests, this wine ages for at least 4 years on lees before disgorgement. A Sec dosage (17.5g/l of cane sugar) combined with the maturity of slow aging in the cellar gives this wine the roundness and smoothness necessary for a "night" Champagne. The color is pale yellow with shimmering reflections.
The bubbles form a delicate string of fine foam. The nose, subtle and delicate, reveals delicious aromas of yellow peach and dried apricot. The attack on the palate is supple and unctuous, while remaining very fresh.
On the palate, flavors of raisin and syrupy fruits are revealed. The finish is long, supple and distinguished by a savory sweetness. A mature, rich and round wine, Nocturne asserts itself with its smoothness and creaminess.
