Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs draws its strength and elegance from an exceptional terroir, the Côte des Blancs.

Located south of Epernay, its hillsides overlook the plain of chalky Champagne. Planted with 95% Chardonnays, its white grapes give birth to champagnes that are always vintage, with light and delicate aromas, full of spirit and liveliness.
"Absolute elegance, a sublimated Chardonnay". 

It is in homage to the Counts of Champagne and Thibaud IV in particular, whose seal marks all its bottles, that Champagne Taittinger created its rarest and most precious cuvée in 1952, the Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs.

Always vintage, and produced in small quantities, this cuvée is blended only from Chardonnay grapes from the 5 Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs; Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, the terroir of excellence for this grape variety in Champagne. The famous journalist Périco Legasse wrote in an article for Marianne magazine: "The Comtes de Champagne cuvée is the Montrachet of Champagne".
