Red Bordeaux 75cl
Saint Julien
Second wine of Château Gruaud Larose, Grand Cru Classé 1855
A word from Cave de France: Second wine of the prestigious Château Gruaud Larose, this magnificent Saint Julien from the excellent 2018 vintage develops enticing aromas of dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) accompanied by spicy notes and subtle touches of cedar and vanilla.
The palate is balanced, with silky tannins and a beautiful structure. This vintage offers pleasant freshness while maintaining a certain opulence thanks to the ripeness of the fruits.
The finish is long and elegant, marked by woody and spicy nuances.
Ideal with grilled red meats, duck breast, or stewed dishes such as beef bourguignon. Aged cheeses also pair very well with this wine.
Although Sarget is designed to be accessible younger than the grand vin, it can age in the cellar for 5 to 10 years, or even longer in good conditions.
Since the 2019 vintage, we have been implementing the necessary measures for conversion to Organic Agriculture. We also use biodynamic tools and practices: using herbal teas from different plants as alternatives to combat certain pests or providing trace elements to the vines.
