It is worth noting that rum was a true Marseilles specialty in the 19th century. Ferroni breathes new life into Provençal expertise in the selection, blending, and aging of the best rums from around the world.
This magnificent white molasses rum underwent a long fermentation (5 to 10 days) then was distilled in a Savalle column (also known as a Creole column), a process that gave rise to the designation "Grand Arôme Rum." Maison Ferroni carefully selected the best molasses from Reunion Island and offers a bottling at the traditional 19th-century Navy strength: 57°! However, this alcoholic strength does not dominate the tasting; instead, it is tempered by a beautiful aromatic complexity. You'll find notes of banana, vanilla, and pronounced candied fruits.
