A word from the Estate: The Rendaud family, a historic family originally from the village of Solutré-Pouilly, produces Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru, Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and various Mâcon wines.
Exceptional terroir:
Pouilly-Fuissé "Aux Chailloux" wine comes from plots located on the mid-slope. They produce flattering wines with notes of hazelnut and a rich taste. Pouilly-Fuissé "Aux Chailloux" is an open wine, offering pleasure from the first moments, but which will surprise with its very slow evolution, giving it great aging potential. Domaine Pascal Renaud is one of the largest owners of "Aux Chailloux" wine.
Aging:
Pouilly-Fuissé "Aux Chailloux" can be drunk from the first year, but it is highly recommended to wait a few years. Its richness allows it to evolve towards flint aromas on the palate and brioche aromas on the nose. This gives it a balance worthy of the greatest white Burgundy wines.
Food pairings:
Pouilly-Fuissé "Aux Chailloux" pairs very well with spicy hot dishes, foie gras, or chicken in cream sauce.
