White Port - 75cl 19.50°
Andresen
Douro Valley - Portugal
Cave de France's note: White Port from the Douro in Portugal, aged for a long time in oak barrels, often with age indications (such as 10 years, 20 years, or up to 40 years), which gives it a golden to amber color and a very expressive aromatic palette combining notes of dried fruits, candied citrus, honey, and sometimes nuts or spices, with a refreshing acidity and a long, elegant finish. It can vary from softer and silkier styles to more complex and richer versions depending on the aging period, making it an excellent choice as an aperitif, after a meal, or with desserts and cheeses, served slightly chilled to better appreciate its finesse.
J. H. Andresen is a historic Port house founded in 1845 by Jann Hinrich Andresen, a young Dane who settled in Portugal and established the company that still bears his name today, one of the few entirely family-owned and independent Port houses still in operation. Andresen Ports are produced in the Douro Valley, with wines aged in the traditional cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia and recognized for their quality, particularly in the categories of aged white Ports and high-end Colheita Ports.
