Domaine Alexandre Parigot
"Les Vignots" 2022
Sustainable farming
A word from Cave de France: Hailed by wine critics, including La Revue des Vins de France, Le Figaro Vins, and the Guide Hachette (to name but a few), Domaine Parigot cultivates some fifteen hectares of Pinot Noir a few kilometers north of Pommard, on exceptional terroirs.
This Pommard "Les Vignots" is gently reaching its peak, but can still be cellared for a few more years. Its deep color is a promise... and the promise is kept: power and refinement, aromas of black cherry with a hint of spice and elderberry for a very long finish. You'll be traditional enjoying it with a Boeuf Bourguignon, and audacious with a Peking duck! You'll also appreciate it with pan-seared duck breast, guinea fowl stuffed with porcini mushrooms, or simply with a rich platter of French cheeses!..
Located in Meloisey, in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune in Burgundy, Domaine Alexandre Parigot embodies a vibrant family history that began in the 1950s when Georges Parigot acquired his first vines. Renowned for the quality of its terroirs, the estate gradually expanded through the generations, notably with the arrival of his son Régis in the 1960s, then Alexandre in the 2000s, each bringing passion and precision to the production of expressive wines. Today, the estate covers between 16 and 20 hectares spread across a variety of prestigious appellations such as Pommard, Meursault, Volnay, Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Nuits-Saint-Georges.
The vines, cultivated with a sustainable viticulture approach, rest on carefully tended clay-limestone soils, with plowing, manual harvesting, and environmentally friendly practices. Alexandre Parigot imbues his attention to detail — mastering the ripeness of the grapes and refining the touch in the cellar — to sublimate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The cuvées are distinguished by their finesse, freshness, and balance: whether it's a tender Pommard with silky tannins, an elegant Savigny-lès-Beaune, or a delicate Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, each wine reflects the estate's signature, both faithful to Burgundian tradition and enriched with elegant modernity. With an annual production of around 100,000 to 120,000 bottles, Maison Parigot is praised for its excellent value for money and the consistency of its cuvées, which continue to captivate demanding enthusiasts and critics.
