Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh - Sweet white wine 75cl
100% Petit Manseng
Château Laffitte Teston - Rêve d'Automne 2020
HVE Certified
A word from Cave de France: Rêve d'Automne is a sweet Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh of great finesse. Almost exclusively made from Petit Manseng, it comes from late harvests carried out in several passes, sometimes until early December, in order to pick grapes at advanced ripeness, close to jam. After destemming and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in new barrels, then ageing is accompanied by regular lees stirring until bottling.
Its bright straw-yellow color announces a refined nose, expressing intense notes of vanilla, apricot and gingerbread. The full and suave palate unfurls aromas of peach, currants and dried fruits, while maintaining a remarkable balance between sweetness, freshness and structure. Served at 7–9°C, this wine reveals all its deliciousness and can be kept for at least six years, with some vintages easily reaching a decade of ageing.
Château Laffitte-Teston, located in Maumusson-Laguian in the Gers region, spans nearly fifty hectares and perpetuates a family history for eight generations. Today, Ericka and Joris Laffitte, supported by their father Jean-Marc, continue to foster this passion for wine. The vineyard benefits from a privileged environment: clay-limestone hillsides facing the Pyrenees, offering natural drainage and ideal sunshine to bring the grapes to perfect ripeness.
The Laffitte family practices sustainable viticulture: exclusively manual harvests, barrel fermentation for all AOCs, an underground cellar dedicated to reds and an air-conditioned cellar for whites to ensure optimal temperature control. Concerned about preserving their terroir, they are committed to a sustainable approach that has earned the estate High Environmental Value (HVE) certification.
