Scotch Whisky - 70cl 46°
Blended Malt
A word from Cave de France: The Noble Rebel Smoke Symphony is a Scottish blended malt whisky that combines boldness and finesse. From the Loch Lomond group, it is made with peated malts, then aged in Rioja wine casks, which gives it a fruity and spicy dimension in addition to the typical smoke. It is bottled at 46% alcohol and is non-chill filtered, with natural color.
On the nose, we first perceive a campfire wood smoke blended with wine-soaked red fruits, a hint of vanilla and woody spices. On the palate, peat dominates initially, then ripe fruits like black cherries or berries assert themselves, accompanied by spices (pepper, chili, cinnamon) and a well-balanced sugary sweetness. The finish is long, persistent, smoky and spicy, with a return of fruits and a slight woody dryness.
This is a whisky for those who like smoke without it becoming overwhelming, for those who appreciate the complexity of a marriage between peat, red wine and fruity aromas. If you like, I can make a comparison with other peated whiskies to better place its profile.
