Bordeaux Red 75cl Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc Baron Philippe de Rothschild Vintage 2022
A NOTE FROM CAVE DE FRANCE: The robe boasts an intense red hue, enhanced by subtle violet reflections that attest to its richness and depth. From the first nose, enchanting aromas of morello cherry and ripe raspberry escape from the glass, evoking an irresistible gourmandise. With aeration, the bouquet blossoms, giving way to more complex notes of juicy blackberry and wild blueberry, bringing a touch of freshness and elegance. The attack is generous, full-bodied, and flavorful, offering an explosion of red and black fruits at perfect ripeness. This fruity intensity harmoniously extends into a fleshy and structured mid-palate, revealing all the richness and balance of the wine. On the finish, the aromatic persistence is remarkable, carried by delicate notes of sweet spices that subtly envelop the silky tannins, leaving an impression that is both refined and gourmet. A seductive wine, both powerful and elegant, that will delight lovers of beautiful fruity expressions.
A few words about the Rothschild family: James de Rothschild settled in Paris at the beginning of the 19th century and contributed to the economic and industrial development of the country, particularly through the financing of major railway and infrastructure projects. The family then invested in the wine industry, notably with the acquisition of Château Mouton Rothschild in 1853 by Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild, and then, in 1868, of Château Lafite Rothschild by his cousin. These two châteaux, located in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, are among the most prestigious vineyards in the world, producing wines renowned for their quality and finesse. In 1930, Baron Philippe de Rothschild created Mouton Cadet, an accessible wine that made Bordeaux expertise available to a wider audience, while consolidating the family's place in the world of wine. Known for its consistent quality, Mouton Cadet combines the emblematic grape varieties of Bordeaux to offer expressive and harmonious wines, highlighting the diversity of fruity, spicy, and woody flavors typical of the region.
