A word from Cave de France: In the glass, this Juliénas captivates with its brilliant purple color with violet highlights and a crunchy fruitiness, prolonged by a beautiful length.
We appreciate its silky tannins and a balanced concentration, making it a generous and sincere wine, typical of Beaujolais crus.
It pairs wonderfully with a capon, guinea fowl supreme, veal blanquette, Escalope Normande, a cheese platter, or Lyonnaise charcuterie, offering conviviality and depth with each pairing.
Since the 17th century, Château de Monternot has been passed down within Anne de La Poype's family. Nearby, the Domaine de Chêne, operated since 1961 by René de La Poype, belonged to his family branch since the 18th century. Long managed separately, the two estates gradually merged after the marriage of Philippe de La Poype and Anne d'Aleyrac in 1992, uniting their vineyards and giving rise to a common vision and an ambitious restructuring.
It should be noted that the productions of the La Poype family, owners of Château de Monternot (Brouilly, Morgon, Juliénas), have been present in our cellar for many years and continually delight the palates of our regulars!
