As a child, I heard Jasnières spoken of as a local pride, to be ranked among departmental glories such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rillettes, Loué Chickens, and even Mutual Insurances! At the time, however, some fuddy-duddies did not share this opinion; no one is a prophet in their own land, as they say...
