Vintage 2023
A note from Cave de France: A magnificent, powerful, and elegant wine from the Southern Rhône Valley, offering beautiful complexity and good aging potential. Its deep red color with garnet reflections precedes an intense nose blending black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), spices (pepper, licorice), and garrigue notes typical of the appellation.
On the palate, it is powerful and fleshy, with present but well-integrated tannins, revealing flavors of plum, cocoa, black pepper, and a subtle woody touch.
The finish is long and persistent, with beautiful freshness and delicate minerality.
This wine pairs perfectly with grilled red meats (rib of beef, herb-crusted lamb), dishes in sauce (Provençal daube, beef bourguignon), and aged cheeses (Comté, sheep's tomme). It has an aging potential of 8 to 12 years and is ideally enjoyed at 16-18°C, after aeration of at least one hour.
A note from the Winemakers: The nose reveals notes of licorice, red fruits, and white pepper. A full, rich palate, supported by a dense texture with garrigue aromas.
Food and wine pairing: meats in sauce, Tournedos Rossini, cheeses (Reblochon).
