A nose of violets and spices, powerful and complex aromas of black fruits on a thick, velvety frame, a long finish on a chocolatey note... a true delight.
This full-bodied and refined wine will accompany Provençal Daube, feathered and furred game, grilled meats with vegetables flavored with herbs from Provence, well-aged cheeses...
A word from Maison Delas: The grapes for the "Ligne de Crête" cuvée come from the Delas Frères properties' vineyards, on the highest part of the Hermitage hill: the locality known as "Les Grandes Vignes".
On the nose, discreet aromas of spices and leather unfold into a balanced palette of dark berries: blackberry, currant with captivating accents of flowers, liquorice, and incense. Richness, complexity, and delicacy are not antithetical. Endowed with a beautiful minerality, all in elegance and finesse, the wine asserts the nobility from the finest granite of the Hermitage massif.
On the palate, the attack is rich and of great density. The wine is elegant, voluminous, and flavorful. The ripe, melted, well-integrated tannins contribute to a powerful and balanced structure. The flavors recall the aromas observed on the nose. The palette is enhanced with notes of blueberry, black raspberry, violet, and bitter chocolate. Structurally, harmony and balance are the great attributes of "Ligne de Crête".
