A word from Maison Delas: To the eye, the robe is pale gold with golden reflections. On the nose, "Clos Boucher" Condrieu develops aromas of exotic fruits and candied peaches. On the palate, this extremely concentrated wine is a true explosion of powerful and massive aromas. Its unctuous texture is supported by subtle oak that adds an extra dimension and contributes to its distinctive character.
Often a victim of history, the vineyard almost disappeared several times, during the period of barbarian invasions, during the time of the "Grandes Compagnies" (17th and 18th centuries), then at the end of the 19th century with phylloxera. Long before modern times, the commercial port of Condrieu and its shipping allowed Condrieu wine to gain distant notoriety via the river.
