A word from Maison Delas: To the eye, the color is pale gold with golden reflections. On the nose, Condrieu "Clos Boucher" develops aromas of exotic fruits and candied peaches. In the mouth, this extremely concentrated wine is a true explosion of powerful and massive aromas. Its creamy texture is supported by a discreet oak aging that gives it an additional dimension and adds to its distinctive character.
Often a victim of history, the vineyard almost disappeared several times, during the barbarian invasions, at the time of the "Grandes Compagnies" (17th and 18th centuries), then at the end of the 19th century with phylloxera. Long before modern times, the trading port of Condrieu and its shipping allowed Condrieu wine to gain widespread renown via the river.
