A word from Cave de France: AOP Côtes de Provence, this lovely cuvée is vinified without barrel aging, to preserve the fruit and drinkability. The wine comes from limestone, clay, and silty soils located at the foot of Pierrefeu-du-Var, a very well-exposed Provençal terroir, conducive to the creation of gourmet and complex wines.
This wine develops fruity aromas of raspberry and spices, notably cinnamon. Structured but supple, it should be served at around 16°C, can be kept for 3 to 7 years, and pairs well with grilled beef ribs, roasted lamb, mature cheeses, and Mediterranean cuisine in general.
Domaine Kennel is a family vineyard located in Pierrefeu-du-Var, in the Var region.
It spans approximately 38 hectares of vines, on alluvial soil at the foot of the village, benefiting from excellent sunshine and soils rich in sediments.
The history of the estate is ancient: the property was once a dependency of the Abbey of Saint-Victor de Marseille for several centuries, before being acquired by the Kennel family in 1932.
From 2005, the Kennel family committed to biodynamic conversion, affirming an approach of respect for nature, soils, biodiversity, and grape quality.
The vineyard is crossed by two streams (the Rémin and the Farembert) which contribute to the freshness of the site and promote biodiversity and plant balance.
