It is on an exceptional terroir, from vines planted on steep hillsides and small terraces (chaillets), that Domaine Niero harvests the best of Viognier and Syrah.
Created in the early 1970s by Jean Pinchon, ambassador of the Condrieu appellation, the Domaine was taken over in 1985 by his son-in-law Robert, who brought it to prominence. His son Rémi has now succeeded him, inheriting all his skills and passion.

The vines are cultivated on terraced hillsides - particularly demanding steep slopes - in the appellation's renowned lieux-dits, notably "La Viallière" and "Bassenon".
Rémi Niero's work combines respect for the terroir and a commitment to quality: manual harvesting, careful viticulture (the estate has been HVE 3 certified since 2019), meticulous vinification, and then aging - in oak barrels, partly new barrels - to preserve the typicity of the local Syrah.
The result: Côte-Rôtie cuvées praised for their elegance, purity, and balance.
Rémi Niero embodies the continuity of a traditional vineyard, enhanced by a modern and respectful approach to the terroir. A work of precision, patience, and passion, striving for excellence without forgetting authenticity.
