The Hennessy VS blend is based on a selection of dozens of eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from grapes grown in the delimited Cognac region, primarily from the Petite and Grande Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois crus. These eaux-de-vie are aged for several years—a minimum of two years, but often more—in French oak barrels which impart their amber color and woody aromas. The art of the master blender lies in combining these different profiles to achieve a balance between intensity, freshness, and roundness.

On the nose, Hennessy VS reveals clear notes of ripe fruit, particularly citrus, apple, and sultana, mingled with touches of toasted oak and vanilla. On the palate, it presents a supple texture and a rich taste dominated by flavors of toasted fruit, hazelnut, and light spices. Its finish, short but persistent, reveals a certain warmth that highlights its youth and vivacity.
