Cru Classé de Graves
Château Latour-Martillac
Vintage 2023

A word from Cave de France: A great wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, classified as Cru Classé de Graves, Château Latour-Martillac stands out for its elegant, structured style, highly representative of its gravel terroir.
The reds, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, offer a beautiful freshness with aromas of black and red fruits, accompanied by smoky, spicy, or slightly woody notes, as well as a harmonious texture with fine, polished tannins. The ensemble yields well-balanced wines, both accessible in their youth and capable of evolving elegantly over time.
The Château itself is a historic estate located in Martillac, whose origins date back at least to the 12th century, as evidenced by the medieval tower that gave the property its name. Owned by the Kressmann family since the early 20th century, it has progressively established itself as a benchmark in the appellation, notably thanks to the recognized quality of its white wines and a lasting family expertise, blending Bordeaux tradition with modern precision in vineyard management and winemaking.

A word from the Château: This 2023 vintage presents a beautiful deep purple color. The nose is expressive and complex, dominated by black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), enriched with notes of tobacco and a subtle hint of menthol that brings a lovely freshness. On the palate, berry fruits (wild berries) are complemented by delicate floral touches. The attack is direct, supported by powerful yet very fine tannins. The structure is serious and well-balanced, marked by an appealing roundness. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent, a testament to a wine destined for beautiful evolution.
