A word from Cave de France: A sumptuous vintage, though atypical for Sauternes due to climatic conditions marked by a dry season. This led to more limited production, but a wine of exceptional concentration, endowed with remarkable elegance and precision.
Brilliant golden color with beautiful luminosity.
Delicate and refined nose, offering aromas of yellow-fleshed fruits (apricot, peach), citrus zest, acacia honey, with subtle notes of vanilla and toasted almond.
The palate is very well-structured, with a richness of sugar perfectly balanced by fresh acidity. Flavors of candied fruits, marmalade, and a slight spicy touch are present. The texture is silky, and the finish is long, pure, and vibrant.
As always with Yquem, the aging potential is extraordinary. This vintage can age for decades, developing even more complex aromas over time.
