It presents an expressive bouquet dominated by fresh red and black fruits, such as raspberry, cherry, or blackcurrant, accompanied by floral notes, subtle citrus, spices, and a refined mineral touch.
On the palate, the wine shows good density without heaviness, with a silky texture, fine and well-integrated tannins, and a marked freshness that brings tension and brilliance. The whole is harmonious, with a long, slightly saline, and very precise finish, highlighting the important role of Cabernet Franc in the blend.
It is a wine that is both appealing in its youth due to its crunchy fruit and finesse, but also structured to evolve favorably in the cellar for fifteen to twenty years.
The château is a historic estate in Saint-Émilion, with origins dating back several centuries, now owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg, who has largely contributed to its qualitative renewal since the 1980s.
Located at the foot of the slope on clay-limestone and clay-sandy soils, it spans just under 20 hectares and is organically farmed. Classified Premier Grand Cru Classé B, it stands out as a benchmark in the appellation, renowned for its style combining finesse, freshness, and faithful expression of the terroir.
