Made exclusively from Grand Cru classified Chardonnay, with each grape meticulously selected, "Amour" is an absolute delight: The eye is immediately struck by the finesse of the effervescence, the creaminess of the nectar... the nose is flattered by floral fragrances and the freshness of citrus, particularly lemon and grapefruit. The palate encounters a gourmet, complex Champagne with remarkable persistence.
Champagne House Deutz is a prestigious estate located in AĂż, in the heart of Champagne. It was founded in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, two Prussian merchants, and quickly established itself as a benchmark in the region.
The house is distinguished by the quality of its grapes, which come largely from Grand Cru and Premier Cru classified plots. It operates its own vineyards but also works in close partnership with winegrowers to guarantee a regular and high-quality supply.
The Deutz style is based on finesse, balance, and elegance. Iconic cuvées such as Brut Classic are renowned for their consistency, while prestige cuvées, such as William Deutz or Amour de Deutz, highlight the excellence of the terroirs and the art of blending.
The house's cellars, dug deep into the chalk of AĂż, offer ideal aging conditions. This slow maturation in a cool, quiet environment contributes to the refinement of the aromas and the complexity of the wines.
Today, Deutz is part of the Rouzaud family group, which also owns Louis Roederer, allowing it to preserve its identity and high standards, while benefiting from solid resources to remain a benchmark house in Champagne.
