Crafted exclusively from Grand Cru classified Chardonnay, with every grape meticulously selected, "Amour" is an absolute delight: The eye is immediately struck by the fineness of the effervescence, the unctuousness of the nectar... the nose is flattered by floral fragrances and the freshness of citrus, lemon and grapefruit in particular. On the palate, itâs a gourmet, complex Champagne with remarkable persistence.
Champagne House Deutz is a prestigious estate located in AĂż, in the heart of Champagne. It was founded in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, two merchants of Prussian origin, and quickly established itself as a benchmark in the region.
The house is distinguished by the quality of its grapes, largely sourced from Grand Cru and Premier Cru classified plots. It cultivates its own vineyards but also works in close partnership with winemakers to ensure a regular and high-level supply.
The Deutz style is based on finesse, balance, and elegance. Emblematic cuvées such as Brut Classic are recognized for their consistency, while prestige cuvées, such as William Deutz or Amour de Deutz, showcase the excellence of the terroirs and the art of blending.
The house's cellars, carved deep into the chalk of AĂż, offer ideal aging conditions. This slow maturation in a cool, silent environment contributes to the refinement of aromas and the complexity of the wines.
Today, Deutz is part of the Rouzaud family group, which also owns Louis Roederer, allowing it to preserve its identity and high standards, while benefiting from solid resources to remain a benchmark house in Champagne.
