Bordeaux Red 75cl
Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux
Merlot, Cabernet Franc
A word from Cave de France: Château Lacarès is a cuvée from Hervé Largeteau's family estate, located in Saint-Magne-de-Castillon, at the gates of Saint-Émilion. This wine pays homage to the estate's former name, now also known as Château Lafleur Beauséjour. Handed down for three generations, the vineyard emphasizes sustainable viticulture and artisanal savoir-faire that enhances the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux terroir.
Mainly crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Château Lacarès comes from carefully cultivated old vines. Yields are deliberately limited to prioritize aromatic concentration. The wine is aged in oak barrels, which brings a subtle complexity and a perfectly integrated woody touch.
In the glass, the wine presents a dark and deep color. The nose reveals rich aromas of ripe and candied fruits, mingled with spicy notes. On the palate, the balance is remarkable: the texture is supple and fleshy, supported by ripe and elegant tannins, with a slightly woody finish. This results in an expressive yet refined wine, true to Bordeaux elegance.
Château Lacarès pairs ideally with red meats, game, or aged cheeses. Its alcohol content is generally around 12.5 to 13.5%, making it an accessible and pleasant wine at the table. It can be enjoyed now but also offers good aging potential for three to five years, allowing its aromas to develop fully.
