A note from Cave de France: "Les Arènes" is a locality in the commune of Chevagny-Lès-Chevrières, where the south-southwest exposure allows the Pinot Noir to reach optimal ripeness for the production of this Burgundy red.
This lovely nectar has a clear, brilliant ruby color and opens on the nose with frank notes of small red fruits such as cherry, raspberry, and redcurrant, sometimes enhanced by floral and slightly spicy nuances. On the palate, it seduces with its tangy freshness, its light but balanced structure, and supple tannins that give it a pleasant roundness. Traditional winemaking emphasizes the pure expression of the fruit, while moderate aging refines the whole without masking the aromatic delicacy, making it a pleasant wine from its youth while having a moderate aging potential. Served at around 14-16°C, it naturally pairs with roasted poultry dishes, white meats, fine charcuterie, or soft cheeses, thus highlighting the versatility of an accessible and charming Burgundy.
Domaine de la Pierre des Dames is a family wine estate located in the south of Burgundy, in the Mâconnais region, managed for several decades by Jean-Michel Aubinel, his partner Marie-Thérèse Canard, and, more recently, their associate Vincent Nectout. The estate spans several hectares of vines in appellations such as Bourgogne, Mâcon-Villages or Saint-Véran, and produces a range of wines reflecting the authenticity of the Burgundian terroir with a traditional approach and a constant concern for quality.
