Bas-Armagnac - 50cl 42°
Ugni blanc - 20 years aging
Maison Fontan

A word from Cave de France: This Armagnac, aged for 20 years, offers a unique richness and aromatic complexity, resulting from two decades of maturation in oak barrels, a process that allows it to develop complex and refined aromas.
During these years in the barrel, the alcohol gradually mellows, and the Armagnac takes on darker hues and richer aromas.

Upon opening the decanter, one is struck by the aromatic complexity of this fine Armagnac.
It presents notes of dried fruits (prunes, apricots), candied fruits, vanilla, and cocoa. More subtle nuances of caramel, sweet spices like cinnamon, and a slight woodiness envelop this brandy.
On the palate, it is a true explosion of flavors with a silky and balanced texture. One finds the sweetness of honey, dried and candied fruits, as well as notes of chocolate and tobacco. The length on the palate is remarkable, leaving these complex and warm flavors lingering.

This divine nectar is presented in an elegant decanter, often a distinctive sign for premium brandies, which reflects its prestigious character. The decanter itself adds a touch of luxury, ideal for connoisseurs of exceptional spirits.

Armagnac Fontan Carafe 20 years is an excellent digestif, to be savored after a meal, but it can also be enjoyed alone during moments of relaxation. It is advisable to taste it slowly, at room temperature, to allow the aromas to fully release.
This Armagnac is intended for connoisseurs and lovers of high-end spirits, for a rare and refined tasting experience, where each sip tells the story of its long stay in the barrel.

A few words about the Bas-Armagnac terroir: Bas-Armagnac is located in the northwestern part of the Armagnac region, mainly in the Gers and Landes departments.
Its soil is composed of "fawn sands" (siliceous soils with clay), which gives the brandies a particular finesse and lightness.
The Armagnacs produced in this region are renowned for being fine, delicate, and particularly fruity.
Typical aromas of Bas-Armagnac include notes of prunes, candied fruits, vanilla, as well as floral nuances. They are also known for their roundness on the palate and their aromatic complexity.
Bas-Armagnac is considered the most renowned sub-region for the production of fine and elegant Armagnacs.
