A note from Cave de France: Serbal is produced by Bodega Atamisque, located in the Mendoza region, in the Uco Valley, a region renowned for its quality wines. Unlike many Argentine Malbecs aged in oak barrels, Serbal Malbec is often vinified without wood aging, which preserves the pure expression of the fruit and the freshness of the grape.
The color is deep ruby red with purplish reflections, typical of young Malbec.
The nose is very expressive and fruity, with aromas of red and black fruits such as cherry, raspberry, blackberry and a touch of violet. Subtle notes of black pepper and sweet spices can sometimes be detected.
Finally, the palate is fresh and balanced, with a beautiful acidity that gives vivacity. The tannins are supple and silky, offering a pleasant mouthfeel and a fruity and persistent finish.
Serbal Malbec pairs well with light and varied dishes, such as grilled meats, pizzas, pasta, vegetarian dishes and even some spicy dishes. It is a versatile Malbec that highlights the fruity and elegant character of the grape without the marked influence of wood.
