Cave de France's note: The very latest version of this high-end limited series produced by the Ardbeg distillery on the Isle of Islay, this 19-year-old edition is appreciated for its complexity and balance, resulting from its long maturation in Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, which bring rich flavors and an exceptional peaty profile.

Batch 6 reveals intense notes of peat and smoke, accompanied by nuances of caramel, dark chocolate, and sweet spices, characteristic of sherry cask aging. Marine and saline touches, typical of Islay whiskies, as well as aromas of vanilla and citrus zest, can also be perceived. On the palate, it is both powerful and round, with flavors of toasted wood, dried fruits, and a medicinal hint that harmonizes with the smoke. The finish is long, warm, and slightly peppery, leaving a lingering aftertaste of smoky oak and salted caramel.

The Ardbeg distillery is renowned for its mastery of peated whiskies and the quality of its limited editions.
